Tom Potter is an award-winning filmmaker based in London, specialising in Directing and Editing for Short-Form, Narrative and Experimental Film.  

Tom is dedicated to film as a near-boundless art-form and strives to unravel the formalistic boundaries of the medium through diverse experimentation.

His work holds a distinct fascination with the experiential interrelationship between film and memory, expressed through various formats: celluloid (8mm/16mm), multimedia experimentation, analogue animation, cameraless filmmaking.

Tom’s directorial work has garnered various accolades, including: Finalist at The Student Academy Awards 2024, Winner of “Best Experimental Film” at WaterSprite Film Festival 2024, “Best Student Film” Award at Greenwich Film Festival 2024, and beyond.

Tom is an expressive, dedicated, and self-motivated collaborator who strives to creatively and practically grow with every project. He is currently working to expand his directorial experience across diverse storytelling mediums, including: Narrative Film, Music Videos and Commercials.
