Synopsis: 'WAKE' explores the psyche of an adolescent entrapped by his own grief; suffering from trauma-induced insomnia. After several days of no sleep, he struggles to trust his own mind, and slowly slips into the incessant cycle of insanity.

'Wake' is a Short Fiction Film aesthetically deconstructing the disorientating insanity of human nature through an atmospherically-driven, non-linear narrative, fixated upon a singular character, who ultimately acts as a narrative and thematic vessel for the exploration of the human condition.

The film’s aesthetic dualistically synergises both a high-saturation, psychedelic aesthetic as well as a monochromatic, nightmarish noir-style aesthetic — aiming to stylistically dissect an internal psycho-emotional struggle that lies at the heart of human nature.

‘Wake’ has been award-nominated at The Moving Image Awards (BFI), McGuffin Film Festival, Barnes Film Festival, Lift-Off Festival, and beyond.
