‘I Am Become Death’ is an experimental, abstract short film with a highly enigmatic and fragmented narrative, that openly encourages an active spectatorship to decipher its deeper symbolic tapestry.
Throughout this film’s production, I utilised a 1950s aesthetic to explore the thematic concept of Post-Atom Bomb as a pandora’s box moment in history, humanity ideologically corrupted by a cultural desensitisation to violence during this era of mass-progression. This aesthetic was constructed through the inclusion of; monochromatic colour palette, 1950s costume, celluloid granular textures, 1950s audio-recordings within an ambient soundscape.
