‘Lullaby For The Lost’ is an experientially-driven, experimental short film integrating both Digital and 16mm mediums through a Split-Screen aesthetic framework, unravelling the metamorphic duality between the Internal Reality (dream world) and External Reality (waking life), exploring how memory and dreams diffuse into one another throughout the course of our lives.
Throughout this film’s production, we proactively engaged in a plethora of creative and technical experimentations with film-form to dissect the conceptual fibres of our story. This includes examples, such as: ‘Cameraless Filmmaking’ (hand-painted 16mm manipulation), optical distortion, unconventional lighting set-ups, multi-layered ambient soundscapes and abstract mosaic editing techniques.
